Creating a Withholding Receipt

1. Go to the Withholds tab and click New Withhold.
2. Enter the Reason and, optionally, a Manual Receipt Number.
3. Enter the Invoice IRN and select the Currency.
4. Enter either the Pre Tax Amount or the Withholding Amount — the other is calculated automatically at 3%.
5. Click Submit Withhold. On success the withholding receipt appears in the list.

Fixed values #

• Withholding type: TWTH (Transaction Withholding Tax) — fixed
• Rate: 3%, as mandated by Ethiopian tax regulation — fixed

A withholding receipt records tax withheld at source and is submitted to MoR separately from the payment receipt.
